Let's talk about Philippians 2:12, which says:
“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
God does not ask us to do something without providing us with the spiritual ability and the support of the Holy Spirit to do it.
So what does it mean “to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”?
It means getting out of the bleachers and into the game.

It is the exercising of your faith and practicing the teachings of the Lord's Word through real encounters and engagement with the living God.
It is not by our own works but purely salvation and demonstration of the Spirit.
For it tells us that, in the Word of God, your works cannot save you, but you can't be saved without them. Because we are doers of the word and not only hearers, and without works, our faith is dead.
James tells us clearly that if you have faith, then show me your works.
He also says that works without faith is dead. So some have faith, but it is dead because they are not in the game that God intended us to walk. Ephesians 2:10 says: "For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
That walk is discipleship and practicing the things of God in our life that He gave to us to exercise. For example, It is the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is walking in salt and light, It is practicing abiding with Him and walking as your old man is dead to sin and alive to peace, love, and joy. The Holy Spirit teaches us all things and specifically reveals to you those things that God has freely given to you. Then you will lean into those things and follow Jesus to work out your salvation.
